Can I put full names on this necklace, or just letters?
Just letters — one initial per charm. If you want full names engraved, take a look at our name necklace collection instead.
How many initials and birthstones can I add?
Anywhere from 1 to 8. Each charm comes with its own birthstone, so an 8-initial necklace carries 8 letters and 8 stones.
Can two children share the same birth month?
Absolutely. Choose the same month as many times as you need — twins and close-in-age siblings are very common orders.
Are the birthstones real gemstones?
No. They're faceted simulated birthstones, chosen to match the traditional colour for each month. They're bright, durable and hold their colour — but we'd rather tell you plainly than let you assume.
What length is the chain?
45cm (about 17.7 inches) with a lobster clasp — a standard length that sits just below the collarbone.
Will the gold plated finish wear off?
With everyday care it holds up well. Take it off before swimming, showering or applying perfume, and wipe it with a soft dry cloth after wearing.
How long until it arrives?
Production takes 4–5 business days because each piece is engraved to order. Standard shipping then takes 12–20 working days; Express takes 5–9. Your total delivery time is production plus shipping.
I made a typo. Can I change my order?
Email support@getengravings.com within 12 hours of ordering and we'll do everything we can. Once engraving starts we can't reverse it, so please check your spelling before adding to cart.
Does it arrive gift-wrapped?
Every necklace ships in a presentation box, ready to hand over. We don't include a price on the packing slip, so it's safe to send directly to her.
What if it arrives damaged or engraved incorrectly?
That's on us. Email us within 3 days with your order number and a photo, and we'll put it right.
