How many initials can I add to this birthstone necklace?
You can choose 1 to 8 charms. Each charm holds one engraved initial and one birthstone, so a mom of four would typically choose 4 charms. Each charm after the first adds $5.
Can I engrave a full name instead of a single letter?
This design is made for initials — one letter per charm. If you'd like full names engraved, take a look at our name necklace collection instead.
Will it tarnish or turn her skin green?
No. The base is stainless steel, which is tarnish-resistant and holds up to daily wear far better than plated brass or copper. She can wash her hands, get caught in the rain, and wear it day after day.
Can she shower or swim in it?
Everyday water contact is fine. For the longest-lasting finish, we suggest removing it before swimming pools or hot tubs, and keeping perfume and lotion off the plating.
How long will it take to arrive?
Production takes 4–5 business days because each piece is made to order. Standard Shipping then takes 12–20 working days, and Express Shipping takes 5–9 working days. If you're ordering for a specific date, choose Express at checkout.
What if I made a typo in the initials?
Email: support@getengravings.com within 12 hours of ordering and we'll fix it before production starts. After production begins we can't change the engraving, since the piece is made specifically for you.

Yes — every order arrives in a gift-ready pouch, so it's ready to hand over the moment it lands.

Because each item is made to order for you, returns are limited once production has started.
- Cancellations: please contact us within 12 hours of purchase.
- After production: if a refund is requested for a personalized item that has already been made, a 30% restocking fee applies (the piece cannot be resold).
- Custom pieces made to your specifications follow our exchange process when eligible.
