These items are handmade and customizable. They are made to order.

3. Pick the birthstone. One birthstone charm is included; choose any of the 12 months.
4. Type each name. Enter them exactly as you want them engraved — we engrave precisely what you type, so please double-check the spelling.
5. Add to cart. We handcraft it by hand and ship it gift-ready to your door.

How many names can I put on it?
Up to 8. Choose your number of charms from the dropdown — each additional charm is $5, and you'll get a name field for each one.

How many letters fit on each name charm?
Up to 12 characters per charm, including spaces. Longer names are usually shortened to a nickname — message us if you're unsure and we'll check the fit before we engrave.

Do I get a birthstone for each grandchild?
The necklace includes one birthstone charm, not one per name. Most grandmas choose their own birth month, or the eldest grandchild's.

How long is the chain?
18 inches, in a rope chain with a lobster clasp. That sits at collarbone level on most women, which keeps the circle pendant and the name charms sitting visibly above a neckline rather than disappearing under it.

What is it made of?
Stainless steel, finished in Gold Plated, Rose Gold Plated, or Silver Color. Please note these are plated and color finishes, not solid precious metal.

Can she wear it in the shower or pool?
She can, but we don't recommend it. Chlorine, salt water, and prolonged hot water will shorten the life of any plated finish. Taking it off before swimming and showering is the single biggest thing she can do to keep the colour looking new.

Will it arrive in time for Christmas?
Production takes 4–5 days, then Standard shipping is 12–20 working days. To be safe on Standard, order by 25 working days before 24 Dec. Express shipping (5–9 working days) is available at checkout for later orders.

What if I misspell a name?
Contact us within 12 hours of ordering at support@getengravings.com and we'll correct it before production starts, free of charge. Once engraving has begun we can't change it — so please double-check spelling before you add to cart.

Can I add more names later as the family grows?
No. Each necklace is engraved as a single unit and cannot be added to. If your family is still growing, two options: order the 8-name version now and leave the extra charms for names you'll add at reorder, or order a second necklace when the time comes.

Does it come gift-wrapped?
Every order arrives in gift-ready packaging with a card.

What does a circle pendant necklace mean?
A circle has no beginning and no end, which is why it has long stood for continuity and unbroken connection. On this necklace the meaning is literal: every grandchild's name sits on the same unbroken ring. Nobody is first, nobody is last.

How do you style a circle necklace?
It sits well on its own against a plain neckline, and layers neatly over a shirt collar or a knit. With 6–8 name charms the pendant carries more visual weight, so we'd keep other necklaces short and simple and let this one lead.
