How many names can I engrave?
Anywhere from 1 to 6 — each name gets its own baby foot charm. Select the number of feet above, and a name field will appear for each one.
How long can each name be?
Up to 7 characters per foot. If a name is longer, a nickname or shortened version actually looks better on the charm — the letters stay large and easy to read.
Will the names be readable, or too tiny?
Each foot charm is about 16.5mm long and laser-engraved, so the letters are crisp and clearly legible up close. Fewer characters means larger, bolder lettering.
Is this real gold or silver?
No — and for an everyday mom necklace, that's a good thing. The core is stainless steel with a gold, rose gold or silver plating. It won't tarnish, won't need polishing, and handles daily wear far better than sterling silver.
Will it turn her skin green or irritate sensitive skin?
Stainless steel is smooth and non-reactive — it's the same family of metal used for watch cases and medical instruments. That makes it a good choice for skin that reacts badly to costume jewelry, and it won't leave green marks the way cheaper alloys do.
Can she wear it in the shower or swimming?
The stainless steel core won't rust, so handwashing, rain and everyday wear are no problem. To keep the finish looking new for as long as possible, take it off before swimming, long hot showers, or applying lotion and perfume.
How long until it arrives?

What if a name is spelled wrong when it arrives?
If the engraving doesn't match what you submitted, email us at support@getengravings.com with a photo and we'll remake it free. If you spot your own typo, contact us within 12 hours of ordering and we'll correct it before engraving begins.
Does it come in a gift box?
Yes. Every order arrives in a black gift box, so it's ready to hand over as-is.
Can I add more feet later?
Each necklace is made as a complete piece, so feet can't be added afterwards. Many customers order a new necklace when another baby arrives — or choose an extra foot in advance for a baby on the way.

Because each item is made to order for you, returns are limited once production has started.
- Cancellations: please contact us within 12 hours of purchase.
- After production: if a refund is requested for a personalized item that has already been made, a 30% restocking fee applies (the piece cannot be resold).
- Custom pieces made to your specifications follow our exchange process when eligible.
